CBD tinctures have become increasingly popular in recent years, and for good reason. They offer a simple and effective way to consume CBD, with a fast onset time and long-lasting effects. They’re also

While there are many ways to make CBD tinctures, using Everclear as the base solvent offers a number of benefits. In this post, we’ll explore the advantages of using Everclear for making a CBD tincture, provide a step-by-step recipe, and discuss dosage, flavor, and other tips for making the perfect tincture.

Why Use Everclear for CBD Tinctures?

When it comes to making a CBD tincture, the choice of solvent is critical. The solvent is used to extract the CBD from the plant material, and the quality and purity of the solvent will affect the quality of the final product.

Everclear is a high-proof alcohol that is commonly used for making tinctures and extracts. It has a neutral flavor, making it an ideal base for infusing with CBD. Additionally, Everclear is highly effective at extracting cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant material, resulting in a full-spectrum tincture that contains all the beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant.

CBD Tincture Dosage

Determining the right dosage for CBD tinctures can be tricky, as it depends on a number of factors, including body weight, metabolism, and the severity of the condition being treated. As a general rule of thumb, it’s best to start with a low dose and gradually increase until the desired effects are achieved. A typical starting dose is 5-10mg of CBD, taken 1-2 times per day. From there, you can slowly increase the dose until you find what works best for you. It’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen.

Reducing the Alcohol Flavor

While Everclear is a neutral-tasting alcohol, some people may still find the taste of the tincture to be too strong

for their liking. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to reduce the alcohol flavor of your CBD tincture. One option is to dilute the tincture with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or MCT oil. This will not only help to mask the alcohol flavor, but it will also make the tincture easier to digest and absorb. Another option is to add flavorings, such as vanilla extract or peppermint essential oil, to the tincture. Just be sure to use high-quality, food-grade flavorings and to start with a small amount, as a little goes a long way.

CBD Tincture vs Oil

CBD tinctures and oils are often used interchangeably, but there are some key differences between the two. CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from the hemp plant and suspending it in a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or olive oil. CBD tinctures, on the other hand, are made by extracting CBD using alcohol as the solvent. While both oils and tinctures can be effective ways to consume CBD, tinctures have a few advantages. For one, they have a longer shelf life than oils, as the alcohol acts as a natural preservative. Additionally, tinctures have a faster onset time than oils, as they are absorbed more quickly and efficiently by the body.

Full Spectrum CBD Tincture

When making a CBD tincture with Everclear, it’s important to use organic CBD flower to ensure that you are getting a full-spectrum tincture. Full-spectrum CBD tinctures contain all of the beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant, including cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. These compounds work together to produce what is known as the “entourage effect,” which enhances the overall therapeutic benefits of the CBD. By using organic CBD flower and Everclear as the base solvent, you can be sure that your tincture is full-spectrum and contains all of the beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant.

CBD Tincture for Sleep

CBD has been shown to have a number of potential health benefits, including promoting better sleep. Many people who struggle with sleep issues, such as insomnia or sleep apnea, have found relief with CBD. When taken in the form of a tincture, CBD can help to promote relaxation and reduce anxiety, which are two common causes of sleep disturbances. To use CBD tincture for sleep, it’s best to take it about 30 minutes before bed. Start with a low dose and gradually increase until you find what works best for you.

Making a CBD tincture with Everclear is a simple and effective way to enjoy the benefits of CBD. By using Everclear as the base solvent, you can create a full-spectrum tincture that contains all of the beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant. With a little experimentation, you can adjust the dosage and flavor of your tincture to suit your individual needs and preferences. In the next post, we’ll explore how to use this CBD tincture to make CBD sugar, a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of recipes.
